सर्वत: श्रुतिमल्लोके सर्वमावृत्य तिष्ठति ||
Contrast this with verse 77 of the Gospel of Thomas:
Jesus said : "I am the All. Cleave a piece of wood, and I am there. Lift up a stone, and You will find Me there."
These are both restatements of Plato and Plotinus. I have no difficulty in accepting the truth of this rather startling concept. I think difficulties arise in how we see ourselves in relation to the cosmos - on one hand seeing ourselves as very important, and on the other as insignificant.
