China is a land of ancient wisdom and heritage. Treated very poorly by the West in the past, and I can understand the desire for a billion humans to take their rightful place in the world.

But also a land where nothing much changed for centuries. Perfection? Utopia? Maybe, and there was glory, for sure, but the rest of the world overtook them in technology and power, so avoiding change is not the answer.

Australia has changed immensely over the years. And we cannot haul up the drawbridge and say enough! There are problems such as this pandemic, climate change, pollution and so many more that need to be addressed. Globally.

There has to be a conversation about change and the system, and avoiding that does no good for anyone.

Is there a utopia? I don't think so, but we can try.
