Don Trump believes he is a patriot because he believes his thoughts. He has arguably the world's best intelligence services at his command, but time and again he makes a public statement that indicates that he is ignoring their advice. So where can he possibly be getting better information?
His "gut feelings" he says. Right. The same inner belief that led him to make all sorts of foolish predictions about the coronavirus and led to the deaths of more Americans than died in all the wars since WW2.
Sure, he might believe what he's saying, or give every appearance of it, but a good rule of thumb is to treat everything that comes out of his mouth as raw material for a fact-check from someone who actually knows what they are talking about.
