You stress a freedom lifestyle, and there is a lot to be said for that.

Taking the mental view that home is a movable feast, not necessarily something you are locked into for years and years.

That's a radical view. If you are on the move, where do the bills go, where do you vote, what taxes do you pay?

Our whole society is structured around staying put, and when you suddenly decide to walk across the country, there must be some sort of friction unrelated to your feet and wheels on the road.
