I didn't misunderstand. I thought my answer was implicit: all the things I've written over the past few months are all about screwing down the virus so it doesn't kill too many.

I don't want to see my friends, my relatives, my fellow human beings suffer and die in a pandemic. If we need to stay locked up until they find a virus, that's fine with me.

But we don't.
