I don’t see it this way. I think that’s promoting an alternative narrative that Jesus wouldn’t have subscribed to himself, but was built up by those who came after.

Jesus was a trouble-maker, executed by those who didn’t want their positions of power and privilege eroded. In particular, his exposure of the Temple priests as making a profit from the faithful.

Otherwise, I agree with you wholeheartedly. Lincoln freed the slaves — or at least started off that process, which wasn’t fully achieved until 1870 — but they and their descendants have been marginalised to a greater or lesser extent ever since.

Police forces in America aren’t there to combat crime so much as to keep POC in their place. Look at the blatant differences in treatment between black and white, rich and poor.

I find it impossible to support this sort of division. This isn’t what Jesus taught us.
