I think that if you see yourself and the cosmos as two different things, that’s okay, but that means that logically there are eight billion others with the same idea, and now you’ve got eight billion different things plus you and plus the remainder of the universe.

I don’t think that precise view is valid unless you take the position that your view of the cosmos is exactly equivalent to everybody else’s and there is only one valid model.

Or we can say that its all very complex and there’s no way to grasp it accurately. Which would be the Taoist position.
