I was always told, "Finish your meal; there are hungry children in Africa!"
So nowadays I tell people, "Hey, finish your drink; there are sober kids in Africa!"
Why not, when there is a cake, pick up the knife and cut a generous piece in half? I can guarantee that there will be others who will jump for the other half.
