I was drawn by your lead image - I cannot look at a city photograph without trying to work out where it is and whether I have been there.
Hmm, I thought. Somewhere in America's South, judging by the trees.
Still, there was a certain tingle of recognition.
When I looked it up - Libby Hill in Richmond VA - I realised that I had been nearby on my first trip to America. No leaves on the trees in January, and the nearby churchyard where a famous speech had been given was covered in snow, but still, it is a place I have been.
What a fabulous story, Stuart! Honest, there were tears in my eyes.
