In high school, our biology teacher advised the boys that if they wanted a relationship, they should try as many ways of asking for one as possible. They would find one that works.

“But,” she added, looking at our side of the room, “you’ll also get girls who learn all the ways to say ‘No’.”

Not that I knew too many girls who would shake their heads to every single approach by a cute boy!

Why not try many different things before getting to something one likes best? There are many different ways of being a writer, after all!
