Parenting, so I’m told, isn’t that hard. They say that the first twenty years are the hardest.
Then the panic subsides.
How terrifying to have a tiny girl go off to explore, and get so far.
I had a bit of a play with your image. What a cutie she is. putting all her effort into striding along!
I wanted to put the subject — the tiny girl in her bright top — into one of the four “rule of thirds” spots. I could lose either the drab doors or the interesting pattern of the bright columns leading the eye to the male figure and then down to the child. So I kept the bright pattern.
Cropped in a little tighter, straightened the image, adjusted the light levels, and put some luminance into the colours. And vignetted the corners to keep the eye in the shot.
Having three figures of various sizes and shapes, tightly linked, is a bonus. Three is a good number for a group shot.
