There’s nothing special about Americans. They get colds and the flu and the Coronavirus just like everybody else. I believe that if they had been given access to good information early on, then America would be in a far better position.

As for liberty, forget Russia and North Korea. America has more of its citizens locked up than any other western nation. But you say that America has more love of liberty than France or Australia or Sweden. I’m not seeing it. The people are pretty much the same everywhere.

Sorry to sound so shrewish and shrill. It’s not your fault that my friends and family in America are all fearful and frayed at the edges. I worry for them. And for you all. What a dreadful year this has been.
