What makes you think that the circumstances of conception are important to the person conceived?
Or their descendants? Go back far enough, we’ve all got a rapist in our ancestry. It wasn’t that long ago that marital rape was not a crime. Ask your parents about how you were conceived. Chances are they won’t be forthcoming, but you consider whatever stories or murky memories they come up with to be a vital part of your life enjoyment. Or if you don’t, you wish it on others.
You’ve come to the wrong shop for worry or guilt of grief about past or future, sister. Living in the past or the future is pointless, wasted effort. We can’t change the past, and the future we fear or look forward to may never come. I should think 2020 is proof enough of that. Nobody saw 2020 coming!
I think your suggestion that people should be unhappy is ridiculous. Why would you want someone to be unhappy? What sort of monster are you?
And I must say that your lack of insight is breathtaking. What on earth leads you to the notion that I’ve never spoken to an Aboriginal Australian? Like, only my entire family. Jeez.
Do you think that racial discrimination is bad when others do it, but good when you do it? I’m fascinated by this attitude that people need to be treated differentially on the basis of race or ethnicity.
I wrote a story about mind-reading recently. The key part is that our thoughts and opinions get in the way of understanding. Perhaps you should think hard about trying to control the thoughts of others and worrying that people have different opinions. From where I stand, diversity is something to be cherished. God forbid we should all have the same ideas.
