I won't say that life in Australia is entirely back to normal, but it's most of the way there. Very few people wearing masks now.
It was mostly an inconvenience, with people's biggest worries being financial. My particular line of work - travel - was hit hard in that respect, but so far I've still got a job and still being paid, even if I don't have to go into the office each day.
My biggest worries, believe it or not, are for my American friends and relations. They are worried, and so am I on their behalf.
The virus isn't easily or cheaply dealt with, but it is, at least, straightforward. China had it under control within a few weeks.
But America seems to be turning it into a neverending story; a textbook case of how NOT to deal with a pandemic.
A great time to write about it, I suppose.
