You are probably getting to the stage where large print is a preferred choice. Now I don't know about reading on my phone, but on a regular size iPad or similar tablet, the print size is adjustable. so that helps with eyestrain.

Curling up in bed with an ebook on the ipad is as good as a printed version. If I get a new thriller, I'll spend an hour or two at a time reading, easy. A tablet isn't as unwieldy as a book.

Make Libby your friend. You can borrow ebooks from your library(ies), just be going online and downloading.

Millions of books are available for free download. Library Genesis has a vast collection. Especially good for nonfiction.

Best part for me is that the house isn't full of books that represent a significant investment in money and space. And when I travel, I'm not hauling around enough English-language books to keep me going.
